The Reflections competition is America’s oldest and large art education program of its kind. It is focused on encouraging students to engage in creative activities and use their imaginations to make art in one of six categories.

The submission must be the original work of one student created for the purpose of the Reflections competition program.  The art should be a “reflection” on the theme.

The categories to choose from are: visual arts, photography, literature, film production, dance choreography and musical composition.

Students can enter more than one category and enter more than one entry in each category.

Film, dance and musical entries allow for more than one student to be recorded, but only one student may be the director/creator of the entire process.

A title and artist statement is required on the entry form.

Visual art and photography entries must be no longer than 24 inches, no taller than 18 inches, including any frame if piece is mounted and no thicker than 3/8 inch.

Students: Remember to fill out the student entry form and answer all of the questions about your category, including size or length of the entry.

Parents: Please sign the entry form found in the Reflections section under PTSA/Documents & Forms, allowing your child’s piece to be judged and displayed.
