The PTSA has three amazing programs happening the second half of this school year and it is imperative that parents help out and run these programs!
Annual Winter Showcase
The Winter Showcase will be held on January 16, 2018 this month and is one of the feathers in the cap of Renaissance that makes this school so unique and amazing! Students will perform original choreographed dances from the techniques they learned from Mrs. Daman's Performing Arts class. If you are a working parent, but always want to help in the classroom this is your chance! There are many positions and help needed to run the Winter Showcase. Please consider any one of the positions from supervising students to handing out programs. Click on the Volunteer link and select any open position for Winter Showcase!
Art of Discovery
The Art of Discovery program was launched last year in conjunction with the Bellevue Art Museum (BAM). The BAM provides invaluable art pieces on loan to our school for our students to study. This is an incredibly rare opportunity and is one reason that makes Renaissance an outstanding school to attend. The Art of Discovery program is in need of a couple more Art Docents for the spring program. Last March 2017, the program concluded with our student's artwork being displayed at opening of the Sammamish City Hall Art Exhibit and an article in the Sammamish Newsletter from the Mayor, himself; p.2. showing how our school is a valuable asset to Sammamish and the Lake Washington School District communities.

Ski Bus
If your student has signed up for this winter's ski bus through WEBSKI, please consider volunteering at least one night to chaperone. There are many, many open Ski Bus chaperone dates and they need to be covered, otherwise our students cannot participate. Renaissance must provide at least 1 parent chaperone each week. Take a night, perhaps ask another adult to join you to sit in the lodge and kick up your feet by the fire for the evening or go skiing for the evening with your student. If each parent takes one or two nights the program will not go into default. Please help support these programs!
