The tie dye T-shirts that came home last week are for this week's camp/Outdoor Ed.  Each group or "tribe" will wear their tee shirt colors all week long at Camp.

Please make sure you or your student have followed the instructions (below) to cure your shirt and have it ready by Tuesday (8th grade) or Wednesday (6th & 7th grades).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RINSING AND WASHING TIE-DYED ITEMS:

1.  Leave your damp shirt tied, in the baggie, for at least 12 hours, 24 is better.
2. Wear gloves for this step!  While rinishing in COLD running water, remove rubber band ties, then continue rinsing until water runs fairly clear.
3.  Wash rinsed garment in very HOT water, using Professional Textile Detergent if available.  Otherwise, Dawn liquid dish soap or the equivalent will work fairly well.  Never crowd the washing machine.  Reapeat wash if necessary.  Rinse twice.  This removes any excess unattached dye.
4. It never hurts to wash garment separately for th efirst few wearings.  After that you can wash them with anything.
